Once closed, we will be reviewing applications over the course of several weeks in order to choose up to 2 writers to sponsor for writing a residency at Good Contrivance Farm. Will will chose at least 1 writer and up to 2.

  •  Early applications will be at a discounted rate.
  •  Early Deadline July 31
  •  Final Deadline August 31
  •  Please take care to check your work and submit promptly.

Ephemera will base its selection on writing samples submitted to the contest and the optional personal statement. We will read submissions blind to establish a pool of finalists at which point we will look at personal statements if available. We also endeavor to follow CLMP contest standards. We're looking for great, clever, polished work that shows promise and a love for craft! Because we are selecting up to two writers, we are interested in considering promise and likeability of the work in addition to polish and achievement.  If things shake out that we select one new or early career writer and one middle to late career, we'd be very happy at that balance.
